Laura Keeley graduated from UW Eau Claire in May of 2016 with a fresh passion for ceramics and pottery. She explains, "Growing up, I always enjoyed creating art. I started painting a lot in high school; that's when I really fell in love with it. It wasn't until late in college when I decided to take a ceramics class, and I couldn't get enough of it! It was a very different challenge for me that I really enjoyed and I loved that I was able to make functional pieces. My professor always told us 'form follows function', which is where I get a lot of my ideation from. Finding ways to make something more functional while also making it look good aesthetically is my favorite challenge."
